We're Hiring an Office Manager!

 Spark is growing and we are looking for an Office Manager.

General Job Description:

The Office Manager will be systematic in all administrative office management. Including bill payments, proper bookkeeping, sales summaries, and organizing paperwork of Spark Makerspace.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Improve, develop, and enforce organizational procedures and systems for Spark paperwork, including member contracts, certifications, inspections, any required reporting, etc.

  • Manage receivables and payables including member payments, and  invoicing. Work directly with Spark accountant to do bookkeeping of ingoing and outgoing monies.

  • Responsible for class payments and teacher pay outs.

  • Work with Spark Emporium retail shop to help with day-to-day Point of Sales systems, including  paying out monthly retail commissions to Emporium vendors.

  • Work with Operations Director to manage Spark Dashboard to track Spark key performance indicators.

  • Assist in grant writing and reporting.

Qualifications for This Position:

  • Working knowledge and comfort of digital platforms including Google drive, particularly spreadsheets / Excel, and wordpress websites, mailchimp.

  • Experience or aptitude with POS systems for retail sales and membership sales.

  • Strong team player - works well with others.

  • Professional communication with members and institutions with regards to invoices and payments.

  • Great work organizational skills.

  • Ability and aptitude for working with numbers and financial planning.

  • Bookkeeping and Quickbooks experience a plus.
